CHICAGO — Corona is voluntarily recalling some of its 12-ounce beer bottles distributed across the United States.
Constellation Brands Beer Division, the number three beer company in the country, said it was recalling the select bottles because they may contain small particles of glass after a production error.
The voluntary recall covers 12-ounce bottles of Corona Extra in six-pack, 12-pack and 18-pack packages containing bottles with one of the following production codes:
The codes appear on the bottles’ neck and also on the side panels of cardboard cartons of 12-packs and 18-packs of Corona Extra 12-ounce bottles.
The company warned consumers not to drink any of the affected bottles and to dispose them immediately. Consumers can then call the company at 1.866.204.9407 to receive a reimbursement.
To date, the company said in a press release that it has received no reports of injuries resulting from the affected bottles.
