Authorities said an unknown woman dropped off the 1-year-old was at the home of a family friend Wednesday afternoon, a day after Christina Char Moore, 30, was ordered to hand the child over to Child Protective Services.

Police said Moore appeared in court Monday and was served a court order that required her to turn over the child to Child Protective Services on Tuesday. However, she failed to do so, and police believed she was hiding the child.

Court documents listed a concern for the child due to Moore’s alleged drug use.

While the child is now safe, deputies are still searching for Moore.

She is 5-feet-5 and weighs 145 lbs. She has light brown hair and brown eyes.

Anyone who has any information about Moore’s whereabouts is asked to call the Cowlitz Sheriff’s Office at 360.577.3092.
