Runaway rescued, pair arrested in sex trafficking

Stockton residents said to be working their way north to Seattle

BEAVERTON, Ore. (KOIN 6) — A 17-year-old runaway from Stockton, California was recovered in a sex trafficking operation that led to the arrest of two other teens by Beaverton police.

Tyrell Charles Armstrong, Jr., 19, and 18-year-old Breyonna Marie Abercrombie were arrested at a Beaverton hotel on Friday. Authorities said the Stockton residents were working their way up to Seattle when detectives arranged to meet them at a hotel.

Armstrong is charged with compelling and promoting prostitution and unlawful possession of a firearm. He’s being held in the Washington County Jail.

Abercrombie was cited and released for promoting prostitution, authorities said.

The 17-year-old runaway will soon be returned to her mother in Stockton.
