TROUTDALE, Ore. (KOIN 6) — Eleven teams committed $200 to play in a soccer tournament fundraiser for the family of Emilio Hoffman, the Reynolds High School student slain June 10 in a school shooting.
Hoffman, an avid soccer fan and player, was 14.
“He really loved the game,” said Reynolds soccer coach Allan Berry. “His mom would tell you he is a funny guy. With soccer, he was very serious. He wanted to be good. He loved playing here.”
The tournament was hosted by the Reynolds High School boys soccer program.
