Fisherman’s body found in Silver Lake

KELSO, Wash. (KOIN 6) — The body of a 61-year-old fisherman was recovered from Silver Lake shortly after his unoccupied, running boat was seen on the shore.

The family of David Amos told Cowlitz County deputies he went fishing in that area earlier Sunday. His body was found about 300 yards from the boat.

Authorities said witnesses saw him around noon and reported he was a little out of character.

It’s not known how Amos died. An autopsy is pending.
