Body pulled from Willamette River in SE Portland

PORTLAND, Ore. (KOIN 6) — A body was pulled from the Willamette River near Oaks Park in Southeast Portland Monday morning.

Marine and land-based units from Portland Fire & Rescue and the Multnomah County Sheriff’s Office were dispatched to the river sometime before 8:15 a.m., finding the body of a man about 20 yards off the eastern shoreline.

The victim has not been identified. PF&R workers are in the process of turning the body over to the Multnomah County Medical Examiner’s Office to determine the man’s cause of death.
