VANCOUVER, Wash. (KOIN 6) – A man wanted on domestic violence charges tried to evade police Friday morning by ramming an officer’s vehicle with his truck.

Jeremy Cabe Macy, 35, was stopped by a Vancouver Police officer just before 11:00 a.m., for charges stemming from the night before. Rather than comply, he reversed the truck and rammed the arresting officer’s vehicle with the cop was still inside.

Macy hit the marked vehicle with such force he drove up onto the hood. He was taken into custody after driving to a home in the 2700 block of NE 151st Avenue.

No members of the public were injured during the exchange, but Macy and the arresting officer were both treated in hospital for injuries.

Macy is charged with assault, attempt to elude, felony harassment and domestic violence assault.
