ST. PAUL, Ore. (KOIN 6) — Oregon Route 219 is closed indefinitely in both directions just east of St. Paul after a sinkhole formed and collapsed part of the road, the Oregon Department of Transportation (ODOT) said Thursday evening.

Northbound traffic was being detoured on to French Prairie Road to McKay Road and back to OR 219.

Southbound traffic was directed to continue on to River Road in St. Paul, then to Davidson Road and back to OR 219.

ODOT said the section of OR 219 in Marion County would be closed indefinitely while their engineers and maintenance staff determine the repairs.
