PORTLAND, Ore. (KOIN 6) — After a Yelp review some people found offensive, the EastBurn restaurant in Portland decided to turn it into an opportunity to help.

In a review about a grilled cheese sandwich, the Yelp poster made a joke about abortion. Owner Mike Bender wanted to flip it around in a positive way.

“We hashed it out and we thought a proper response would be to bring attention to the issue and use the grilled cheese as an opportunity to give back to the community,” Bender told KOIN 6 News.

EastBurn, at 1800 E. Burnside, is donating all of the proceeds for the next month-and-a-half from their grilled cheese sandwiches to the Portland Women’s Crisis Line.
