Fishermen find body on Columbia River bank

WOODLAND, Wash. (KOIN 6) — Fishermen found a body on the banks of the Columbia River near Woodland, Washington, on Sunday.

According to the Cowlitz County Sheriff’s Office, the body appeared to have been in the water for several weeks or longer.

The identity of the body was not immediately known, police said.

The coroner has the body and is expected to release the cause and manner of death after further examination.

No additional information was immediately available.
