PORTLAND, Ore. (KOIN 6) — The child of a woman who allegedly injected herself with heroin inside a parked car is now in protective custody.

Twenty-seven-year-old Adrianna Vandehey was arrested Friday afternoon after allegedly shooting up inside her car with her child in the back seat in downtown Portland.

She is charged with Possession of Heroin and Reckless Endangerment. A witness reportedly saw Vandehey shooting up near SW 4th Avenue and Harrison St., and a responding officer confirmed the report.

The child is in good health, the Portland Police Bureau said in a statement. Vandehey will be arraigned Monday July 21.
