CORNELIUS, Ore. (KOIN 6) — A GMC Envoy was seriously damaged in what police believe was a random drive-by shooting in the early hours of Thursday.

The owner of the vehicle called the Washington County Sheriff’s Office around 4:40 a.m to report the shooting in the 1700 block of North Dvis.

The vehicle appeared to have been shot with a shotgun, authorities said. The rear glass was shot out and the lift gate was badly damaged.

Two neighbors told deputies they heard a shot sometime before 1 a.m. but didn’t call 911.

No one is in custody and the investigation continues.
