DOUGLAS COUNTY, Ore. (KOIN 6) — The stepmother of Kyron Horman has filed a petition to change her name.

Officials said Kyron’s stepmother, Terri Lynn Moulton-Horman, was the last person to see the 7-year-old boy alive on the morning of June 4, 2010. Six hours passed before Kyron was reported missing.

Now, Terri is looking to change her name. On June 30, she filed a petition for her name to be changed to Claire Stella Sullivan.

Kaine Horman, Kyron’s biological father, and Terri ended their relationship in an emergency hearing held before Multnomah County Circuit Court Judge Henry Kantor in December 2013.

A custody battle over the pair’s 5-year-old daughter was settled in June.

A court hearing on Terri’s name change is scheduled for August 4 at 10 a.m. in the Douglas County Circuit Court.
