ALOHA, Ore. (KOIN 6) — A fire that started inside a shed in the Pine Ridge mobile home park at 6900 SW 195th in Aloha spread to the home, causing $200,000 worth of damage, Tualitin Valley Fire and Rescue said.

The blaze Saturday afternoon brought 30 firefighters to the scene, who knocked the flames down within ten minutes after a neighbor had tried to extinguish the fire with a garden hose.

The shed was fully engulfed, and as it spread to the home, all of the residents — including the dog — were able to get out without injury.

Three adults living in the residence are now receiving emergency aid from the Red Cross. Washington County Sheriff’s officials on scene were able to help the displaced residents work through a language barrier.

TVF&R investigators are still working to determine the cause of the fire. Once again, officials are reminding the public to check and replace fire alarms regularly.
