Just after 6 p.m. Saturday, Jose Lopez-Mathison was shot in the leg in the 6100 block of NE Ainsworth Street, while another man, Jose Cardenas, was struck in the head with a shovel.

The incident was a fight between acquaintances, which led to the shooting and shovel attacks, Portland police said in a release.
