BATTLEGROUND, Wash. (KOIN 6) –Two boys, aged 10 and 12, who were missing after rafting down the North Fork of the Lewisville River have been found.

The boys were found three hours later at a house on NE Gren Fells Drive, just south of the river.

Clark County Fire and Rescue Battalion Chief said crews believe the boys rafted down and left the river on foot between Lewisville County Park and Daybreak Park, further down stream.

Officials believed the boys were alright during the search, although a reverse 911 protocol was initiated during the search.

The two boys were picnicking with family earlier in the day at Lewisville Park, and were reported missing at roughly 6:30 p.m.

The pair were not wearing life jackets, and for this reason the Clark Country Sheriff’s Office is reminding parents to ensure children wear flotation devices and are supervised any time they’re near water.
