BEAVERTON, Ore. (KOIN 6) — Beaverton police said a 16-year-old ran across a street against a green light when she was hit by a car Thursday evening.

Authorities said the accident happened around 7:30 p.m. on SW Hall Boulevard at the intersection of SW Greenway.

The 16-year-old girl was transported by ambulance to an area hospital for treatment of potentially life-threatening injuries, police said.

The driver is cooperating with police. Authorities said the driver did not contribute to the accident.
