Grass fire shuts down part of SR 14 in Wash. state

Troopers say smoke causing zero visibility in the area

KLICKITAT COUNTY, Wash. (KOIN 6) — A grass fire shut down part of Washington State Highway 14 in the Columbia River Gorge Thursday evening.

The area impacted stretches from near Bingen to the turnoff toward Goldendale on Highway 97.

State Trooper Will Finn tweeted that the smoke from the fire is causing zero visibility in the area.

No additional information, including an estimated time for when the road will reopen, was immediately available.
