Handcuffed Beaverton woman tries to run away

ALOHA, Ore. (KOIN 6) — A woman was arrested after she allegedly ran out of an Aloha home she broke into and then fought with deputies.

Shaunte Comfort was taken into custody shortly after 5:15 a.m. Sunday, the Washington County Sheriff’s Office said in a release.

The homeowner called to report a burglar inside her home in the 17600 block of SW Alexander. When deputies arrived they saw a woman run out of the back door.

Comfort was quickly caught. But authorities said she fought with them and tried to flee even after she was handcuffed.

The 35-year-old Beaverton woman is charged with first-degree burglary, escape, resisting arrest and criminal mischief.
