PORTLAND, Ore. (KOIN 6) — Police have arrested a 34-year-old man on numerous sex crime allegations after detectives learned he may have sexually assaulted his grandmother and uncle.
Sgt. Pete Simpson said Willie Andre Johnson, 34, will be arraigned Monday afternoon in Multnomah County Circuit Court on charges that could include attempted first-degree rape, unlawful sexual penetration, first-degree sexual abuse, first-degree kidnapping and fourth-degree assault.
The investigation started July 1 when officers were called to a North Portland home on reports of a sexual assault.
Officers learned that the suspect – later identified as Johnson – sexually assaulted his 82-year-old grandmother and his 49-year-old uncle, and then fled the home.
The 82-year-old woman was treated at a local hospital, police said.
Police used a K-9 unit to search for Johnson but were unable to locate him.
Johnson was taken into custody around 5:30 a.m. Wednesday in Northeast Portland after police received information about his whereabouts, police said.
Detectives with the Sex Crimes Unit interviewed Johnson at police headquarters, but he was later transported to a local hospital after complaining of medical issues, Simpson said.
Johnson is a registered sex offender; he remains lodged in the Multnomah County Detention Center.
