PORTLAND, Ore. (KOIN 6) — Multiple law enforcement officers are responding to a home in the 400 block of Northwest Skyline Boulevard after a reported shooting.

Lt. Steve Alexander, a spokesperson with the sheriff’s office, said the call is still considered an active tactical situation so no specific information could be provided.

The Bureau of Emergency Communications said the situation was reported around 7:30 a.m.

Deputies have not been able to confirm if a shooting actually took place, but the initial 911 call indicated there had been a shooting, police said.

Firefighters and paramedics are on scene to assist if needed, officials confirmed.

A deputy told KOIN 6 News Tuesday that officials are aware of at least one other reported shooting at the address before that turned out to be a hoax.

The deputy cautioned that until they can sort everything out the sheriff’s office would be sending as many resources as possible to the house in case there is a victim.
