Witnesses called 911 when the man jumped from rocks at Moulton Falls and didn't resurface

MOULTON FALLS, Wash. (KOIN 6) — A 45-year-old man drowned Tuesday after witnesses said he jumped from rocks at Moulton Falls.

Police said witnesses called 911 when the man didn’t resurface after jumping in.

Crews recovered the man’s body from the East Fork of the Lewis River.

The identity of the drowning victim was withheld Tuesday evening, pending family notifications.

Moulton Falls is a 387-acre park at the confluence of the East Fork of the Lewis River and Big Tree Creek.
