Woman arrested in connection with fatal I-82 crash

HERMISTON, Ore. (KOIN 6) — Oregon State Police arrested a 31-year-old woman from Hermiston on Monday on a warrant issued for her arrest in connection with an investigation into a fatal wrong-way crash on Interstate 82 in March.

An OSP trooper arrested Alicia G. Breckheimer at her residence in Hermiston around 8:30 a.m. and lodged her at the Umatilla County Jail on a warrant for the following charges:

  • Manslaughter in the first degree
  • Manslaughter in the second degree
  • Three counts of recklessly endangering another person
  • DUII
  • Reckless driving

Shortly before 1:30 a.m. on March 7, a Cadillac driven by Breckheimer was going west on the eastbound side of I-82 near milepost 4, Oregon State Police officials said, when she slammed into a Chrysler driven by Robert Henry Baker.

Baker, 66, died at the scene.
