PORTLAND, Ore. (KOIN 6) – A man described by his daughter as “a routine guy” voluntarily changed his routine and was found safe, police told KOIN 6 News.
Ottie Binschus, 60, was “voluntarily out of contact” with his family and friends for the past month. His family was notified.
His daughter, Mallissia Binchus-Lucas believed something was wrong. She said he would never leave for this long without telling someone.
She wanted to find out where he is. Police let her know he is safe.
“I still can’t imagine him saying that,” Binchus-Lucas said. “… The good news is he’s alive, the bad and sad news is I don’t know if he’s having some sort of problems, or if he’s OK.”
The case is now closed, officials said.
