PORTLAND, Ore. (KOIN 6) — A man seen on surveillance video stealing rugs valued at $600 from a Southeast Portland store is being sought.
A man in a red shirt and shorts wandered around Marion’s Carpet Warehouse with two small rugs. He stashed them near the front door, walked around the store a little bit more, then picked them up and walked out.
“He didn’t even have a car here,” said the store’s Angie Milligan. “He just took off down the street with two rugs under his arm.”
Each rug is worth about $300, she said.
Marion’s Carpet Warehouse, 1635 SE Grand Avenue, is a family-owned business. Police are investigating.
