SALEM, Ore. (KOIN 6) — A wrong-way driver caused a crash that involved at least five vehicles early Wednesday morning, Salem police said.
The crash, on Highway 22W eastbound near Rosemont Ave. NW, occurred after a driver heading the wrong way down the roadway collided with another vehicle, according to police.
At least one person is injured, though no fatalities have been reported.
Highway 22W is closed at Rosemont until further notice. Drivers are asked to avoid the area.
