PORTLAND, Ore. (KOIN) — The Sellwood Bridge re-opened ahead of schedule Friday afternoon, three days after closing for installation of girders for the new bridge.
A total of 27 pre-cast concrete girders on support columns were to be installed for the east approach to the new bridge, officials said.
The new Sellwood Bridge is set to open in fall 2015, and the whole project should be completed in 2016. Officials told KOIN 6 News the project is on schedule.
