In the recording, the victim says she was in the employee office when she saw Swoboda come into the salon on the surveillance cameras. She said a moment passed and he was standing at the office door with a gun point at her.

After trying to offer him money, the woman said Swoboda hit her over the back of the head and pulled her out of the salon.

“He pulled me into his van and he duck taped my wrists and my legs together. I kept asking him what he wanted and he just wouldn’t tell me. He kept telling me to shut up,” said the woman in the recorded interview with police.

She said the next thing she remembers is an ambulance arriving and does not remember jumping out of Swoboda’s moving van.

Swoboda died last month during a shootout with police near Wilson High School.
