VANCOUVER, Wash. (KOIN) — A missing 15-year-old girl who was thought to possibly be a victim of sex trafficking was found safe Wednesday evening, according to the Washington County Sheriff’s Office.

Adrian Brown, of Aloha, Or., who had been missing since March, was found safe in Vancouver, Wash., after Vancouver police learned she was at a convenience store. No further details were released in regards to where exactly she was found.

Police initially said she may be with a man twice her age, who may be encouraging her to engage in dangerous and illegal activity.

Brown’s guardian was concerned because although she runs away frequently, she has not been missing for this length of time before.

Vancouver police took Brown into custody without incident. The Washington County Sheriff’s Office said she will be returned to her guardian in Oregon at a later date.
