PORTLAND, Ore. (KOIN 6) — A popular tradition will return this year to the Rose Festival.
Organizers said the Treasure Hunt tradition, which was started in 1983 and ran until 2005, will return after a nearly decade break.
Here’s how it works:
- Clues regarding the location of the Rose Festival medallion will begin to appear on Oregon Live on May 26.
- The clues will be released over 14 days, so people have an opportunity to find the medallion that will be hidden in the five-county area.
The person who finds the medallion will receive $1,000 in cash and other prizes.
Opening day for the Rose Festival is Friday, May 23.
