Armed, masked man robs Marriott in NE Portland

PORTLAND, Ore. (KOIN) – An armed robber held up a Residence Inn Marriott in Northeast Portland early Monday and made off with an undisclosed amount of money.

The suspect, described as a Hispanic man in his 40s or 50s and 5-feet-9, was said to be wearing a dark-colored bandana over his face, a green jacket and dark pants.

He walked into the hotel at 1710 NE Multnomah Street around 3:20 a.m., authorities said in a release. He walked behind the counter, brandished a gun and demanded the money.

He left immediately after he got the money. Police searched the area but did not find the man.
