Flare-throwing Beaverton woman arrested

BEAVERTON, Ore. (KOIN) — A woman who is the suspect in several incidents involving the throwing of lit flares outside the Beaverton Police station was arrested Friday morning.

Brenda Adams, 28, of Tigard was released on charges of disorderly conduct and offensive littering.

In a statement, Beaverton Police said witnesses saw Adams throw lit flares in the parking lot, then flee the area in her vehicle.

She was arrested after police stopped her driving her vehicle near the police station.

Adams is also the suspect in two similar incidents outside the Beaverton Police Station at Hwy 26 near Camelot Court, on April 5, 2014, for which she was charged with two additional counts of disorderly conduct and offensive littering.

No one was injured during any of the incidents.

So far, police haven’t figured out a motive.
