PORTLAND, Ore. (KOIN) — A hard slide at the plate led to a basebrawl between two rivals in a Portland high school game Thursday.

Central Catholic’s Ronnie Rust clipped Jesuit’s catcher on the way to score in a tight ballgame.

Jesuit’s Evan Haberle took exception and collided with CC’s Tyson Cooper. And that led to a bench-clearing brawl.

By rule, the umpires had to eject everyone who left the dugout — and since that was the entire roster of both teams, the game was canceled.

It’s possible the players who joined in the fight may be suspended for at least the next game.
