SW Portland convenience store robbed at knifepoint

PORTLAND, Ore. (KOIN) — A convenience store on SW Yamhill Street was robbed at knifepoint Monday night.

Police said the Peterson’s  located at 115 Yamhill Street was robbed at knifepoint around 8:30 p.m.

An employee at the store told police that the suspect robbed the business while armed with a knife and then ran out the door.

The suspect was described as a white man who is 21- to 26 years-old. He stands 5-feet-10-inches to 6-feet tall with a medium build and is possibly bald, wearing glasses and wearing a black t-shirt and black pants.

Police said they canvassed the neighborhood but did not find anyone matching that description.
