PORTLAND, Ore. (KOIN) — Two people died in a crash along Highway 47 north of Forest Grove Monday morning.

A 2002 Hyundai four-door and a Fisher Farms box truck were involved in the collision just before 9:30 a.m., with the Hyundai taking most of the damage.

Authorities confirmed late Monday afternoon the driver of the Hyundai was 18-year-old Kiden Esther Dilla and her passenger was 19-year-old Ayan Mohamed Osman. Both lived in Northwest Portland.

The driver of the truck, 44-year-old Cory Jordan, was not injured and is cooperating with the investigation, according to Oregon State Police.

OSP is working alongside the Washington County Sheriff’s Office to determine h0w the crash occurred, but said in a release the Hyundai may have stopped westbound on NW Verboort Road when it pulled in front of the northbound semi’s path.

Oregon Department of Transportation workers closed Highway 47 in both directions following the accident.
