PORTLAND, Ore. (KOIN) — A man suspected of being the “Nerdy Bandit” was arrested early Friday morning for a string of clothing store robberies in lated 2013.

Thaddeus Vachel Lindsay-Woods is believed to be the man who robbed an American Apparel store on SE Hawthorne Boulevard on Oct. 4, 2013. A week later, an American Apparel Store on SW Stark was held up, but the robber did not get any money.

Two days later, the Nerdy Bandit held up the Urban Outfitters store on NW Westover Road and got away with some money.

In all three robberies, the man browsed in the store before robbing it.

A forensic sketch was made from witness descriptions and Crime Stoppers of Oregon received a number of tips.

Lindsay-Woods, 31, was charged with first- and second-degree robbery. His arraignment in Multnomah County is expected on Monday.
