California driver gets stuck on Portland stairs

PORTLAND, Ore. (KOIN) — A driver from California got lost in downtown Portland and turned onto a pedestrian walkway, but got stuck when the car began going down a set of stairs.

The woman turned onto the 2nd Avenue pedestrian walkway from Harrison Wednesday morning. Just past Pettygrove Park, she came to a set of stairs that stopped her car.

A tow truck was able to pull her up and off, and she was able to drive off. No one was hurt.

The posts blocking the pedestrian walkway from motor traffic were down because of construction going on at a building along the walk.
