PORTLAND, Ore. (KOIN) — A Washington State Trooper hit a car while responding to a report of a teenager who jumped out of a car on SR 503 in Clark County.
The 17-year-old girl’s caregiver was called by her school after an incident early Friday morning, officials told KOIN 6 News. The caregiver picked up the girl and was driving back when the girl unbuckled her seat belt.
The caregiver slowed the car down near the intersection of SR-503 just north of Caples Road and 149th Street. The girl then jumped out of the car, rolled on the asphalt and cut her head.
Three WSP cars were on their way to the scene when the second trooper car hit a car crossing that intersection. No one was hurt and and investigation into the cause of the crash is underway.
The girl was taken to a hospital for treatment.
