PORTLAND, Ore. (KOIN) —  A logging truck driver is recovering from minor injuries after rolling his truck into Phillips Creek along Hwy 204 west of Elgin, Ore. Monday.

The trailer, driven by 33-year-old Just Wright, lost control coming out of a turn and continued down the embankment into the creek at roughly 4:30 p.m., PT Monday, causing the logs to dislodge into the creek.

Wright was unable to make a sharp curve, said Oregon State Police Senior Trooper Walt Anderson.

Wright freed himself from the truck and was later cited with an infraction for failing to drive within a lane.

The Oregon Department of Transportation is working with the logging company to remove the truck, trailer and logs from the creek.

No information regarding a potential diesel spill is available, and both lanes of traffic may be affected on Hwy. 204.
