Gunfire hits Northeast Portland home

PORTLAND, Ore. (KOIN) — No one was hurt when a bullet went through a home’s window in Northeast Portland following a shooting early Tuesday morning.

Several residents called police to report an armed man firing shots in the area of Northeast Mallory Ave. and Northeast Killingsworth St. at roughly 1 a.m.

Police swarmed the area, but neighbors told officers the man ran away from the scene shortly after the shooting.

Police confirmed officers found  shell casings on the ground.

The motive to the shooting remains unclear, but one officer on scene said no evidence points toward the shooting being directly gang related.

Police have not announced any arrests. There were no reported injuries.
