PORTLAND, Ore. (KOIN) — A pooch named Scout has earned the title of Portland’s first dog mayor after winning a national contest.
DOGTV’s “My Dog for Mayor!” campaign was a national contest aimed at electing 100 dog mayors in 100 cities across the U.S.
“It was a hard-fought campaign for all of our ‘canine-didates,’ many of which were neck-and-neck until the final hours of voting,” said Gilad Neumann, CEO of DOGTV. “We hope that Scout uses his new dog mayor title to help better his hometown for the good of all dog-kind.”
For winning the race, Scout, a Vizsla, will receive a six-month subscription to DOGTV Online and a one-month subscription to PetBox.
DOGTV is the first television network designed just for dogs.
