Massive fire burns Happy Valley home

HAPPY VALLEY, Ore. (KOIN) – A fire burned a 5,000 square-foot home that was under construction in the Clackamas County community of Happy Valley early Friday morning.

The blaze broke out before 5:50 a.m. at 12310 SE Ridgecrest Rd., according to Brandon Paxton, a Clackamas Fire District No. 1 spokesman.

Crews arrived on scene to find massive flames. The bulk of the blaze was knocked down by 6:20 a.m. As of 7:30 a.m., firefighters were still checking for hot spots.

There were no reported injuries.

The cause of the fire and a financial estimate of the damage were not immediately confirmed.
