RIDGEFIELD, Wash. (KOIN) — The rest area along southbound I-5 near Ridgefield was closed for hours while Washington State Troopers search for a wanted man.
The search began around 3:20 p.m for Derral K. Mosby after troopers said they were called by Mosby’s father. He told them his son was in the rest area with a gunshot wound to his leg.
A large number of searches arrived at the area, including an aerial search for the 6-foot-8, 220 pound man.
He’s wanted for multiple felony charges of robbery and drug possession. He is considered armed and dangerous.
Shortly before 7 p.m. the rest area was re-opened. The search continues.
