PORTLAND, Ore. (KOIN) — A car and semi-truck collided and hit a power pole in Northeast Portland Thursday night, knocking out power to some residents in the area.
The crash on NE Columbia Boulevard near MLK happened around 8:35 p.m., authorities said, when the car tried to turn into a McDonald’s and was hit by the truck.
The driver of the car was injured but is expected to recover, while the truck driver was not hurt.
Columbia Boulevard is closed while power crews repair the damage to the power lines.
Investigators said neither drugs nor alcohol appear to be invovled in this incident.
