PORTLAND, Ore. (AP) — Oregon Zoo elephants have started spending time in a portion of their new exhibit.

The Oregonian reports construction crews finished the first section of the $57 million project last week.

The 6-acre Elephant Lands exhibit should be completed by the fall of 2015. It’s four times larger than the old elephant quarters.
