PORTLAND, Ore. (KOIN) – A driver who tried running from deputies after his van was pulled over reportedly dropped a Slurpee and then some methamphetamine before being captured early Friday morning in Milwaukie.
The Clackamas County Sheriff’s Office reports that 48-year-old Zane Grey Macziewski was stopped for a traffic infraction at about 1 a.m. in a motel parking lot. He jumped out of his Honda Odyssey, dropped the Slurpee and ran south on Southeast McLoughlin Boulevard, dropping some meth in the process.
He was arrested in the 4400 block of Southeast Boardman Avenue. Two passengers in the van also fled, but were not wanted, the sheriff’s office said.
He was lodged in the Clackamas County Jail on charges of attempting to elude and escape.
