PORTLAND, Ore. (KOIN) – A man is under arrest, accused in the stabbing of a 16-year-old boy in the Lloyd Center mall in Northeast Portland last week.
Portland police arrested 19-year-old Louis Williams in Vancouver, Wash., Tuesday evening. He is charged with attempted murder, first-degree and second-degree assault and unlawful use of a weapon.
Gang detectives identified Williams as a suspect in the Feb. 12 stabbing near the lower-level entrance to Nordstrom. He was arrested at Northeast 59th Street and 106th Avenue with the help of Clark County Sheriff’s deputies and Vancouver police officers.
The victim in the stabbing survived. No motive has been confirmed.
Williams was booked into the Clark County Jail. He will be extradited to the Multnomah County Jail at a future date.
