GRESHAM, Ore. (KOIN) — Three people accused of holding a developmentally disabled man against his will for two days at a Gresham apartment appeared in court Tuesday to face serious charges including kidnapping.

Tuesday evening, Gresham police announced the arrest of a fourth person, Christopher Dante Andrews. He was arrested after a traffic stop at 162nd and SE Main, officials said.

Andrews, 25, faces charges in this case, and detectives said more arrests are possible.

The three who appeared in court are accused of holding Michael Daugherty in a Gresham apartment in the 700 block of SE 193rd. Daugherty, 34, is developmentally disable and had been listed as missing since Feb. 13.

Investigators allege the three accessed his bank account while they held him.

Detective John Rasmussen told KOIN 6 News the three did not know Daugherty.

“There is indication that he did not know these people prior to this event,” Rasmussen said. “He was held for approximately two days against his will and was not allowed to leave location.”
