Tigard pub robber captured

PORTLAND, Ore. (KOIN) – Police caught a man who robbed a Tigard restaurant Friday morning while carrying a fake gun.

According to Tigard police, the 29-year-old suspect was confronted by officers as he exited Richard’s Deli & Pub at 11945 SW Pacific Hwy. following the robbery. He dropped the stolen cash, along with what turned out to be a fake gun, and fled on foot. A pursuit ensued, and he was caught a few blocks away, police said.

No injuries were reported.

The suspect, whose name was not immediately released, was arrested on second-degree robbery, first-degree theft and resisting arrest. He was lodged in the Washington County Jail.
