Suspect wanted in 2 convenience store robberies

PORTLAND, Ore. (KOIN) – A man is wanted in two convenience store robberies that occurred less than an hour apart Monday in East Multnomah County.

The first was reported at 7:23 p.m. at a Plaid Pantry at 246 W. Columbia River Hwy. in Troutdale, and second at 7:56 p.m. at the Orient Country Market at 29822 SE Orient Dr. in Gresham.

In both cases, the suspect implied he had a gun, though none was actually seen, the Multnomah County Sheriff’s Office reports. The suspect fled the Plaid Pantry without obtaining any cash. He stole about $100 from the Orient Country Market. No one was hurt.

Surveillance photos have been released. The man is white, in his early 20s, 5-foot-10 to 6-feet tall, skinny, with a large nose and acne. He was dressed in blue jeans and gloves.
